As I have mentioned in my post, passing the exam does not make you you a better programmer, its just self-proof achievement. ZF is currently in v1.9.2 and reference guide is building up with every new version. I think we will never stop reading reference guide :) that's the place where You "really" study ;) (of course after source itself :) ) Study guide is aimed to help developers to pass the exam and that is enough. If you feel confident with it, you wont have a problem passing the exam. It was harder than PHP5 exam, but it is hard to compare. They are not about the same thing. problems with questions, well some cases you have to learn by heart. For example, You just have to remember which class uses singleton pattern and which not.
